About Me

              So, who am I? I'd like to say I knew exactly who I truly was, but I think I'd be lying. I'm a mystery to myself. But here are the things that I do know. I absolutely love color. Every color excites me, but my favorite color is crimson red. Its richness and fullness leaves me feeling warm. Its not a "right out of the tube" color as my art teacher would say, but rather one that takes time to develop into its beauty. I also love the senses. I get made fun of for mixing them up sometimes.  I guess people don't understand it when you say you can taste color and smell memories, and feel smells. It just doesn't make sense to them, but it does to me. Now, let's see, I sometimes think I'm a listener and other times a talker, but I've figured out I can express myself best when I write. Or type. I prefer typing to writing. I guess I get my thoughts out clearer. I guess that makes sense too considering I'm an avid blogger.
            Before I continue, I must say, I'm a huge romantic. I dream all the time. I love everything vintage and sweet. Cream and lacey. Frank Sinatra and Audrey Hepburn. I also love artsiness. I'm not much of a painter or drawer or sketcher... or whatever those people are called, but I love collages, scrap-booking, and especially recreating anything I see on pinterest. My room is full of my expressions of myself. I love the outdoors as well. Biking, swimming, hiking, and really anything at the beach makes me smile. Sunshine and evening rains. Sunsets and looming overcast skies. Bright golden mornings and dark moonless nights. All of these kinds of things enrapture me. I'm a romantic. Truly I am.
          Tea. Romance Novels. Sunny beaches. The Moon. Rain mixed with sunshine. Quaint shopping towns. Ballet flats. Bicycles. Sundresses. Red. Sidewalks shining with rain. Bright streetlights. Crickets. Mission trips. Old movies in the park. Water gun fights. Oh how the list could go on of things I love.... but really I've saved the best for last. The one thing I love most is truly and will always be Jesus. He's gotten me through every battlefield, every hardship, every long night, every tear stained pillow.... he's always been there. And He will always be. And whenever I feel alone my favorite chapter in the Bible reminds me,

"God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn."

So that's me. A little confusing, but always the same old me. In love with Jesus and loving the life he's given me.

  1. You sound SO MUCH like me :) I followed your blog a couple of minutes ago. I like the pictures you have on your blog-esp the Paris one and the blue dressed girl with the Notebook caption. :) gorgeous! It's so difficult these days to discover people who are bold enough to say they're Christians. I'm glad you're one of them :) lol Hope to hear back from you.
